Your Origin is the first thing you'll pick when entering Baldur's Gate 3 character creation. There's no wrong way to play, so follow your heart, and treat the info here as a set of suggestions rather than a hard set of rules. Baldur's Gate is a massive game designed with an eye towards supporting a player's free expression and roleplay, so don't feel shackled to the advice we give or a need to "min-max" your character. The in-game tooltips also provide plenty of detailed info to help you learn as you go.
